The Zumbro Valley Woodland Council is a non- profit organization that promotes
forest stewardship in the Olmsted County area of Southeast Minnesota. We
are currently a chapter of the Minnesota Forestry Association, but remain
autonomous. We promote multiple use, "working woodlands", but value biodiversity
and all sustainable land management activities that retain the productivity
of the land. Our first meeting was held in January of 1996.
The mission of the Woodland Council is to encourage long term
woodland stewardship and promote greater knowledge and appreciation of the
forest resources in Olmsted County.
